Oh no you didn't!

Remember this post about the quilt that I wanted to make?  Due to sickness, it was abandoned before Christmas, and I only started working on it again last week.  I thought the top would be finished with just a few more seams, and then I laid it out and noticed a problem.  Are you seeing what I'm seeing about a third of the way from the top?
Ahhhh!  What did I do?  It's totally messed up!  Upon further investigation, I think I made the top third of the quilt, took a break, turned the pattern over in the meantime, and came back and made the top section again, thinking it was the bottom.  Whoops!

The good news is that the pattern repeats so I can take off a couple of rows and it will meet up again or I could add a couple of rows (which is what I would opt to do, if I had more fabric, but unfortunately, I don't).

CURSES!

I hate to waste all of that work, but it looks like I have no choice!

I like the irregularity in the pattern. I think you should go ahead with the quilt as is. Seriously.

Well there you have it folks - the first documented mistake Steph has already made. It had to happen someday...

(But don't worry, you're still perfect in my eyes)

Don't get rid of it! Things don't have to be perfect to be enjoyed. The pattern and colors are still great, so finish it up and enjoy what you've got.

Steph! I finally searched out your blog. Leave the quilt with the imperfection. It gives it character.

Hi Steph

I have just come over from One Crafty Place and had to check out your blog after seeing your rainbow pasta. I have just finished putting a heap of pasta that I coloured today into tubs and then I went through our kitchen drawers to find old scoops, spoons and whatever else we could use to play with this tomorrow.

Your quilt IS perfect. I think you have done an amazing job.

I have really enjoyed reading through all of the fun things you do with Creed.

I am off to check out the ABC and 123 prints from Sycamore Street Press etsy shop.

Oh noooo! It actually looks pretty cool with the little 'glitch', but I know it'd drive you nuts. Maybe a little fun time with the seam ripper and it'll be perfect?
