We adopted our friends the Erneys' tradition of buying our kids a new ornament that means something to them every year so one day, when they leave home, they will have some happy memories to trim their own tree. This year I found a robot ornament for Creed (and yellow at that).
He told me that it was was the best ornament in the whole world ever! so I guess that he likes it.

We have that tradition too! This year, Persy got a train ornament. I keep wondering if I should be doing homemade ornaments to make it more meaningful and cohesive. What are your thoughts?
I actually saw an ornament while we were in Nova Scotia that was the most adorable robot. I immediately thought of you. Glad you found one that he loves.
I'm missing all the fun. Marissa HAS the flu now. I hope she is the last one. Who wants the flu for Christmas?
Ialways paint the year on the ornament in some insignificant place - like on the bottom - and the kid'd initial. Saves arguments!
we do this too...i love looking back and seeing what they were 'into' that year. we do the same as 'mom' up there, write their initials and the year.
The best part of this post is that second picture...where Creed is ridiculously happy and sporting an Incredibles costume...in December. :)
