Every Jack Needs a Mary

Life is not all graphic design projects and parties around here. Sometimes I actually get around to making other things. I'm sure that many of you are not familiar with the TV show Jack's Big Music Show, but Creed's gal-pal Audrey is a BIG fan. Last year we made her a Jack puppet for her birthday so this year of course we had to make a puppet of Jack's gal-pal, Mary. It's pretty much impossible to pose with a puppet without feeling completely ridiculous. And Larry insisted that I pose like this because I did it last year. And of course we had to include a photo of our little dreamboat.I stole this picture from Nikki's blog of Audrey with her puppets because I love how happy she looks and I want to remember it forever!

I am so glad that you "stole" that picture of Audrey, because she could not have been happier . . . as I think you can tell from that shot! You are truly the best, Steph!

I ran across your blog when a friend sent me the entry you did on coloring pasta. I love all the creative things you are doing and love reading about it all. I have now decided I am going to do a color theme for my daughter's birthday--not until July but I am already excited about it and I don't usually get to planning things until about a week before so thanks for the inspiration. I want to do a photo booth and have props like you guys did. It just seemed like such a fun time for all of you. Thanks for sharing it. Any advice on how to do the photo booth and could you tell me how you made some of those props? Thanks so much. I also wanted to say I loved the entry you did on the type of mom you want to be. I went into motherhood with no other plan other than to be a mom. I didn't think much about how I could significantly impact my kids' desires and abilities to experience life to it's fullest. Now they are 9,7, and 5 and finally (I am slow) I am figuring out I can create oppportunities for them and just give them a chance to run with it. Thank you so much for the ideas--keep 'em coming! these puppets are awesome! I am so impressed by your creativity. I've never seen that show, but you totally made me want to be a fan just so I can make puppets. :)
