I get it from my mom

My mom invited me down last Friday to make purses with her. I didn't actually touch the sewing machine, I just did a lot of cutting.  We used Amy Butler's Birdie Sling pattern and the bag is HUGE.  Somehow it seems smaller in this picture, but I swear I could slip Creed in there and use it to carry him around.
I already put to it good use hauling things to an enrichment meeting at church.  In this picture it's holding, a shoebox with two clay lanterns in it, a roll of painter's tape, scissors, my wallet, my cell phone, three spray bottles, six plastic tablecloths, a bag of 30 pens, two sets of keys, an apron, my camera, a jar of jam, and a pound of butter.  Seriously, that's a lot.

Sa-weet! I just got this pattern, and accidentally got 3 yd. of the fusible fleece instead of the interfacing -- oops! I thought it would be a cute diaper bag for my sisters -- and me!

sweet Sally! That bag sounds HUGE! I cannot believe you were able to fit all of that stuff in there.

Very, very cute! It looks like something you'd see on Etsy.

this is funny timing, as my MIL just made me one of those bags! and it's GINORMOUS! and i have no one in diapers anymore, so I really don't carry around that much stuff. it was great for church, though!
