What's on our bookshelf

Creed still has the bookshelf that my dad built in his room at our new house and I still fill it with different books about every month or so.  Since he just started up at preschool last month, all of last month's books were about school.
 A few of his favorites:
If You Take a Mouse To School by Laura Numeroff
David Goes to School by David Shannon
Hooway for Wodney Wat by Lynn Munsinger
Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse by Kevin Henkes
The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash by Trinka Hakes Noble and Steven Kellogg
This month we've rotated in books about, books, the alphabet, and counting.
Born to Read by Marc Brown
We Are in a Book by Mo Willems
Have I Got a Book for You by Melanie Watt

The Z Was Zapped by Chris Van Allsburg
Alphabet Under Construction by Denise Fleming
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr., John Archambault and Lois Ehlert
Antics by Catherine Hepworth
A is For Salad by Mike Lester
The Hidden Alphabet by Laura Vaccaro Seegar

Ten Terrible Dinosaurs by Paul Stickland
Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3 by Bill Martin Jr., Michael Sampson and Lois Ehlert
Count! by Denise Fleming
1, 2, 3, To the Zoo by Eric Carle
Click, Clack, Splish, Splash: A Counting Adventure by Doreen Cronin

Bookshelf Rotation

About once a month or so, I rotate the books in the shelf that my dad made for Creed's room. I usually pick some kind of theme related to what is going on in our lives or the time of the year (which is easy for me because we own a million books, but you could easily do the same thing with library books).

Creed loves to read the same books over and over so I always end up adding a few of his favorites in there too, but this has really helped him explore new books. We have books all over the house, but we tend to read the ones in Creed's room before naps and bedtime. I know a lot of you dear readers have toddlers too so I thought that maybe some of you might like updates once in a while of what we're reading. This month, we reading books about babies and books about spring animals. Last month, we read books about bedtime (which we are really struggling with), snow, and love.
Here are a few of the books that made it onto Creed's shelf:
