Do you think it's time to pull out the boy dress-ups?

The other night we were visiting the Randalls when the girls wanted to dress up like princesses and have a princess parade.  Creed could not have been more excited.  They had more masculine dress-ups, but that would not do, oh no, he needed a princess dress too.

after the parade, they played princess pinball.
He cried when we made him take off the dress to head home.  The next morning he found this bobbypin on the floor and asked me to put it in his hair, then he was off to accessorize.
We've been stocking up on dressup clothes after Halloween the last couple years, but we thought Creed wasn't ready for dressing up (most of them are superhero outfits, and he has no clue what a superhero is, but he also has no clue what a princess it now that I think about it).  I guess we were wrong, and now I need to go scout around the basement.

  2. Ahhhh....it does my heart good to see another boy in dressups!! I found the DI to be the jackpot for our best dressup stuff. Not costumes really, but just stuff that will work well to create some good imagination.

  4. I love it! I often see the boys in Audrey's class wearing the dresses more often than the girls. So, Creed is not alone. : )

  5. Steph, my little man did the exact same thing with his older sisters dressups when he was around Creeds age. Then after watching a princess sing along video where he got to see many a Disney princess dancing with her prince, he took great pride in wanting to be his sissy's prince. He still calls his daddy " mommys prince" when we talk about weddings and love and other such mushies. Love it!! Cherish this sweet innocent time because before too long it becomes all things monster trucks and mud!!!!
