You're never too old to play dressup

One night while Candice and Marissa were still in town my aunt babysat after the babies went to bed so the grown-ups could go see a movie. We saw Get Smart because it was the only movie that no one objected to seeing. I was not that excited about it, but it was actually surprisingly funny and I'm so glad that I went.

Well, after that we had spies on the brain so we decided to do our own secret agent photoshoot. We dragged Eli along with us for some thrift shopping where we all picked up sweet jackets and then we picked up wigs at a costume shop. You weren't allowed to open them so we didn't know until we got home that I ended up with the ugliest wig you have ever seen. I'm not kidding, it looked nothing like the package, and it was getting late so we had to smooth it down as much as we could and go ahead with the shoot. It looked sort of like Mary Ann from Giligan's Island's hair; ratted up huge and flipped out at the end, just like every cool spy wants to look. At least it was dark so you can't tell how huge and horrible it was compared to Candice and Marissa's sleek wigs. My parents kept cracking up while my dad was shooting these pictures; I'm not sure if was the wig, the weird poses that we were coming up with, or the people staring at us posing in the street as they drove by, but whatever. You're never too old to play dressup.

  2. You're preachin' to the choir here. I'm sad I missed it. I too saw Get Smart (bootlegged at our hotel in Costa Rica) and enjoyed some good laughs.

  3. Wow! Someone else named Ellen left a comment! That was strange, I was like, "huh. I didn't think I commented on this already!" ha!

All I have to say is that that is HILARIOUS! I love it!

    Hey Steph!
    Looks like fun!
I just saw that flights between SLC and Col are $106 round trip! Go to travelocity and flexible dates if you want a trip out!
And I totally liked your last post on motherhood and yourself. I felt like that just last week. And it took an hour pep talk from my mom to make me feel sane. Basically it just came down to her saying, "You're doing a great job. I love you. Keep it up!" I say those words to you.
    Love ya!

  11. How nice to have sibs that will play along! The pics are great - and your wig really isn't that bad - you can definitely pull it out for Halloween. I am interested in "we weren't allowed to open them until we got home.." You make the rules on the fly? "..and then we'll all..." How much fun is that? It's good to see you doing typical Stephanie fun stuff - Love, Mom Cat
